Earth Day EcoStewards in Stanley Park
Spend Earth Day volunteering to remove invasive species in Stanley Park with the Stanley Park Ecological Society. Meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon, then head out into the park with other volunteers to learn about local ecology and conservation issues while you uproot invasive species.

Earth Day at Trout Lake
The Trout Lake Community Centre is holding a family-friendly Earth Day event. It includes live music, games, crafts, and environmental education boots. You can also register for a beeswax wrap-making workshop.
When: Saturday, April 22 from 11 am to 2 pm
Where: John Hendry Park, 3300 Victoria Drive, Vancouver
Cost: Free. Workshops are $1.90 per person and you must register in advance.
Earth Day Birthday Bash with Fresh Roots
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Fresh Roots schoolyard farm at Vancouver Technical Secondary School. The kid-friendly event includes activities, cake, and a potluck community salad. You can also do some hands-on work in the garden.
When: Saturday, April 22 from 1 pm to 4 pm

EarthFest at Everett Crowley Park
The Champlain Heights Community Centre holds an annual EarthFest event in Everett Crowley Park. Join members of the community to plant native shrubs and wildflowers to help grow the park’s urban forest.

Garry Point Park and River Cleanup

Earth Day in Moodyville Park
North Vancouver’s 2023 Earth Day celebrations will take place in Moodyville Park. The event includes educational booths and free activities. You can also help out with the invasive plant pull.

Pollinator Party at the Fraser River Discovery Centre
The Fraser River Discovery Centre in New Westminster is marking Earth Day with a Pollinator Party. Learn about how local species including bees, bats, butterflies and hummingbirds pollinate flowers in the Fraser River Basin. You can also decorate a mini pollinator pond to take home.

Party for the Planet at Surrey Civic Plaza
The all-day Party for the Planet festival in Surrey includes live performances by local musicians and dancers as well as environmental educators. Buy environmentally-friendly products from local small businesses at the sustainable marketplace. Surrey Parks will also be holding a plant sale where you can purchase native plants for your yard, garden, or patio.

Earth Day at Douglas Park
Head to Douglas Park in Langley to celebrate Earth Day with a fun event organized by the Environmental Sustainability Committee. The festival includes workshops on container gardening and foraging for edible foods. You can also take part in a scavenger hunt, Earth Day bingo, and tons of kids’ games.

Earth Day in Maple Ridge
This year’s Earth Day event in Maple Ridge is centered around the theme of “Flow”. Organized by the Ridge Meadows Recycling Society, the festival includes a farmer’s market, a family freecycle event, electric vehicle displays, food trucks, a repair cafe, a kids’ play zone, live entertainment, and lots more.

Earth Day River Clean-up in Chilliwack
Join the Chilliwack/Vedder River Clean-up Society for an Earth Day River Clean-Up. Head to Thompson Park between 8:30 and 9:30 am to pick up garbage bags, gloves, and pick-up sticks, then bring your haul back to the park by early afternoon. There will be raffle prizes too.
