Coal Harbour, Vancouver
Seascapes, skylines, and fresh air
Coal Harbour is an invigorating community with sophisticated hotels, yacht-filled marinas, and stunning sea-to-sky views.

In 1859, low-grade coal deposits
were discovered in the harbour, giving the area its name.
As the area grew, development boomed around the waterfront community. By the 1930s, the Marine Building, a must-visit for Art Deco lovers, was completed. This impeccably preserved skyscraper, once the tallest in the city, is a vital part of Vancouver's architectural legacy.

Visitors and locals gravitate to enjoy the 7,572-step seawall, leading visitors to the city’s crown jewel, Stanley Park. Feel tension disappear while the wind blows through your hair as you casually bike, or find rejuvenation on a leisurely walk. Breathe in the fresh, salty ocean air. Look out to glistening water and majestic mountains. Watch an eagle soar by. Find what soothes you.
