Head to the Farmer’s Market This Winter in Vancouver
With cooler weather on the way, many of Vancouver’s farmers’ markets are done for the year. But don’t worry: you can keep shopping for local veggies, baked goods, crafts, and artisan products all winter at these local farmers’ markets.
Riley Park Winter Farmers’ Market
This central farmers’ market is a local favourite year-round. In winter, you can expect over 80 farms and producers as well as food and coffee trucks. Parking is limited so its best to arrive on foot or by bike. It’s also an easy walk from the #3 bus on Main Street, the #33 bus on 33rd Avenue, or King Edward Skytrain Station.
When: Each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. between November 5 and March 25

Hastings Park Farmers’ Market
Head to this popular East Vancouver farmers’ market to buy local in the colder months. They have over 30 vendors selling everything from bread, veggies, cheese, kombucha, crafts, and lots more. There is free parking for shoppers at Gate 2. Or take the #4, #14, #16, #R5, or #210 bus.
When: Each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. between November 6 and April 30

Port Moody Winter Farmers’ Market
This winter farmers’ market has been running since 2008 at the Port Moody Rec Centre. They have over 50 vendors and live music. There is lots of parking. It’s also a short walk from Inlet Centre Skytrain Station and is served by the #160, #181, #182, and #183 bus routes.
When: Each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from November to April

Squamish Farmers’ Market
This community-run market includes up to 60 vendors per market, plus live music and food trucks. It also has a great view of the sheer granite face of the Stawamus Chief. There is lots of parking nearby.

Southlands Tsawwassen Farmers’ Market
This market is right next to the Southlands Community Farm in the new Southlands neighbourhood. It includes local produce, beverages, artists, food trucks, and live music. You can also visit the community gardens.
When: Every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. until December 17

Fort Langley Village Farmers’ Market
Head to the Fort Langley Village Farmers’ Market to sample fresh food from local BC farmers. They also have baked goods, pickles, preserves, food trucks, and lots of artisans selling paintings, crafts and more.
