Calling All Swifties: Vancouver Events to Celebrate the Close of The Eras Tour

It is fitting that Taylor Swift is ending The Eras Tour in Vancouver given the city’s rich diversity, natural vibrancy, and bustling urban lifestyle.

In addition to The Eras Tour taking place December 6-8, 2024 at BC Place, there are tons of Swift-inspired events happening in Vancouver in the lead-up to the big concerts. Local neighbourhoods and businesses across the city are getting in the spirit, cultivating community, similar to how Swift brings people together through her music and performances. From bracelet making workshops to drag concerts, there’s a fun activity for everyone wanting to celebrate all things Taylor.

Below are 10 events to get you even more excited as you count down the days until Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated arrival in Vancouver:

On November 14 and 21 (6-9pm), Urban Source—an alternative, eco-friendly art supply store in Mount Pleasant—will be holding Friendship Bracelet Nights ($35 per person plus fees) led by Akino Gunstone. You’ll get snacks, a take-home kit, and new friends!

Vancouver is known for its incredible food and music scene. In this spirit, Vancouver Foodie Tours has curated The Eras Food Tour at iconic Granville Island Public Market with tastings that each reflect one of Taylor Swift’s Eras. Think Lover Bread and a Lavender Haze macaron. The Eras Food Tour ($119.89 per adult; $109.89 per child 4-12) will also include friendship bracelets and Taylor trivia.

Restaurants and bars around the city are adding special Swift-themed food and drink. From December 5 to 8, Eras @ CRAFT English Bay and @ CRAFT False Creek will be taking place. CRAFT will be serving Swifties French Blondes with a friendship bracelet included with each order. If you’re lucky enough to be going to the concert, you will get a 13% discount off your bill (with proof of concert ticket).

Sip Savor, Swift at Yuu Japanese Tapas

From now until December 15, visit Yuu Japanese Tapas in Richmond for their special “Sip, Savor, Swift: Taste the Taylor Eras,” which features dishes, desserts, and drinks inspired by the pop icon’s various Eras. Options include Red Lava Ramen and a Lover’s Pink Bliss.

The Vancouver Christmas Market returns, and is devoting December 5 to celebrating Taylor Swift. From 6pm to 7pm, you can show off your Taylor Swift knowledge by taking part in their Trivia Night for the chance to win prizes. Immediately after, you can sing all the Taylor tunes you love during Karaoke Night from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Both events will take place at the Market’s Alpen Haus.

The Lamplighter Public House is organizing a Drag Brunch: Taylor Swift Edition (admission tickets $18.18 for standing room/communal table/bar seats, with various prices for tables) on December 1 from noon to 3pm. The drag show will be hosted by Xana, and the Lamplighter will be serving Swift cocktails and brunch dishes.

H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vanier Park is hosting Sparks Fly: A STEAM Listening Party ($23.78 discounted rate, $29.06 regular rate, including fees) November 30 from 6pm to 9pm. Besides science demos and STEAM-inspired snacks and drinks, there will be a listening show, accompanied by videoscapes. All ages are welcome and encouraged to wear a Taylor Swift Era-themed outfit.

On December 4 from 6pm to 10pm, Science World is holding After Dark: Eras Edition ($39 per adult). This 19+ event also combines science with Taylor Swift, featuring a dance party (belt along to your favourite tunes), friendship bracelet-making, trivia, and sound science. Make sure to dress up in your favourite Era.

Yaletown is holding a big bash—TaylorTown (December 7, noon to 5pm)—which combines Taylor Swift activities and the best of the holidays. TaylorTown will feature a Giant Illuminated Friendship Bracelet Selfie Station and a Giant Digital Birthday Card to Taylor Swift to celebrate her December 13 birthday. TaylorTown will also feature holiday programming, like Visits with Santa.

If you didn’t snag tickets to the Taylor Swift concert, don’t despair since LEVELS Nightclub is hosting The End of an Era (December 8, 9pm to 1am, $25 plus fee), during which they’ll be playing the entire show plus more crowd favourite songs. And those going to the concert can continue the party at LEVELS.
