Overview
It is the “narrowest”, skinniest”, “Slender on Pender”, building in Vancouver. The Jack Chow Insurance building, also known as the Sam Kee building, was built on a bet, according to its owner Rod Chow. Also, just before Expo'86, Jack had the foresight to acquire a deteriorating narrow building, completely rehabilitate it and then put it into the Guinness Book of Records, bringing international fame to Chinatown and Vancouver.
