Summer in Vancouver: 2026 FIFA World Cup™ Edition

During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Granville Island will be hosting a waterfront viewing zone for World Cup matches. Located in a large open-air lot between Anderson Street and Old Bridge Street - immediately beside Granville Island Brewing the zone seats up to 1,000 spectators on the waterfront with a giant outdoor screen. 92 of the 104 matches will be screened over five weeks of the tournament.

From June 9 to September 19, add an evening Shakespeare live theatre show at near by Vanier Park. Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is a summer tradition in Vancouver and a great way to finish off the day.
