Kerrisdale comes from the name “Kerry’s Dale,” given to the area by an early community member, Mrs. McKinnon, in 1905. It was named after her family home in Scotland and translates to "little seat of the fairies," adding a touch of enchantment to the area that still resonates today.

For Christmas in Kerrisdale, Kerrisdale hosts horse and carriage rides, strolling brass bands, and live music.

Kerrisdale is a bucolic and vibrant area where you can stroll streets lined by expansive, grand trees. Take in the heart of the community, known as The Village, and visit a diverse mix of independent, quaint, and charming boutiques and restaurants, and larger-scale shops and services.
