Dude Chilling Park Welcomes Back it’s Refurbished Namesake

After more than two long years, the community of Mount Pleasant can now rejoice as the chilling dude figure is bought home to Dude Chilling Park, officially Guelph Park.

Michael Dennis’s cedar ‘Reclining Figure’ found it’s home in Guelph Park in 1991, but has suffered decomposition over the years. The much-loved sculpture has now been restored with brass.

To celebrate the sculptures return, Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association will host a “Party with the Dude” on Saturday, August 17 1pm – 4pm. Expect bratwurst, live music, and chilled vibe.
