Location: Kitsilano, 1809 West 1st Avenue

El Camino’s showcases lively Latin American street food. Think margaritas, tacos, arepas and bocadillos.

Location: Gastown, 36 Powell Street
With West Coast roots and Italian soul, Brian and Linda Turko, the founders of Milano Coffee, have been making days a little better by sharing their passion for artisan coffee and espresso in Vancouver for over two decades. A master roaster, trained in the Torrefazzioni method, Brian Turko has been honored with four gold medals from the International Institute of Coffee Tasters for his espresso blends. Situated right next to waterfront station, this roomy joint, with an equally roomy patio, provides stiff drinks and tasty meals for any occasion.

The Gastown Brewing Company, which is located onsite and brews Steamworks beers, uses steam to fire its kettles. The instant heat of steam allows for greater brewing finesse, and most importantly great tasting beer. Whether you’re in the mood for a thirst-quenching lager or a full-bodied Stout, they’ve got a beer to please your palate. Speaking of palate, food doesn’t take a back seat at Steamworks, with favourite being their wild BC salmon dishes and lean Lamb Tenderloins.

The Union, led by Chef Lisa Henderson, dishes up the firecracker flavours of Southeast Asia using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The extensive bar menu is known for its spirit-forward cocktails infused with house-made juices.

Location: Gastown, 300 Water Street
The Water St.Café, established in 1988, is a Gastown cornerstone overlooking cobbled streets and the world-famous steam clock. Their summer sidewalk patio is ideal for people watching and enjoying the true flavour of Gastown.
