The Richmond Night Market is one of Vancouver's best-loved summer traditions, bringing together incredible food, unique shopping, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities all in a whole evening worth of fun. Since its opening in 2000, the market has grown into a major seasonal attraction and a lively celebration of Richmond's diverse Asian food and culture.

Running on weekends and holiday Mondays throughout the summer, the market brings together Richmond’s incredible food scene, with carnival games, live performances and plenty more to explore. Here is everything you need to know before your visit.

Let the smells of sizzling street food guide you through the Richmond Night Market, where more than 500 options from local restaurants, food businesses and vendors are waiting to be sampled. Follow your cravings from smoky barbecue skewers and crispy fried squid, to sushi tacos and pillowy bao buns.

Alongside these night-market favourites, this year's featured dishes include savoury salmon noodles, Japanese crispy crepes and colourful shaved ice. Scan the market's Happy Hour QR code to find participating vendors offering food for under $10 and drinks for under $7 throughout the evening.

For something sweet, cool off with a scoop of ice cream or indulge in a warm, sugar-coated beignet. It is another tasty way to explore the variety and creativity found throughout Vancouver's diverse food scene.

This year's One World theme celebrates cultures from around the globe, with a special nod to the FIFA World Cup™ and Vancouver's role as a host city. Wander through Little Wonder World, a colourful installation featuring an illuminated theme wall and recreations of famous landmarks, then stop for a photo beside the market's oversized soccer display.

Between bites, test your skills at family-friendly carnival games for the chance to win prizes. The highlight of this year's attractions is the 600-foot-long SkyRush Zipline, which takes you high above the market for a thrilling ride and a bird's-eye view of the colourful stalls and crowds below. It is a completely new way to experience the energy of the night market.

The main stage also hosts free entertainment every night, with a changing lineup that may include live bands, K-pop dancers, cultural groups, jugglers and more.

For the best photos, visit after sunset, when the colourful lights and illuminated displays really bring the market to life.
