Ever growing in popularity for its physical, mental and spiritual benefits, yoga was recognized by the United Nations with the proclamation that June 21st be the International Day of Yoga. Also known as Yoga Day, this is a day to celebrate community and wellness. Enjoy the start of summer at these unique Vancouver yoga experiences on June 21st!
It’s no coincidence that Yoga Day was proclaimed for June 21st; the longest day of the year has a special significance all over the world, and as yoga does, brings a sense of community. Vancouver’s yoga community is vibrant and friendly; what better place to celebrate Yoga Day?

International Day of Yoga with the Indian Cultural Association of Vancouver
This event is organized by Consulate General of India – Vancouver in association with India Cultural Association (ICA) Of Vancouver. Invite your friends and family to to this free event; all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served after the class. Please bring a yoga mat and arrive early to get your spot. Summer Solstice Yoga at Spanish Banks and Sunset Beach
Experience the sun’s energy at its strongest on the longest day of the year. Two organizations will be hosting Summer Solstice yoga classes at a Spanish Banks Beach and Sunset Beach, respectively.
