Japan Market Kicks off the Holiday Market Season at Robson Square this Sunday

Earlier this summer, UBC Robson Square was host to an extremely successful Japan Market – featuring food, crafts, jewellery, stationary, and other kawaii (cute!) goodies.
The Japan Market is back – this time for a Christmas edition – on Sunday, November 4, 2018 in the heart of Downtown Vancouver.
With a bigger venue and over 40 vendors, the market kicks off the start of the holiday shopping season! No time like the present to start shopping for all your Christmas presents!
Like most markets, you can expect a hefty amount of homemade goodies and unique crafts. Vendors and crafters will have booths with a unique selection of Japanese crafts and products, including cool notebooks, ceramics, kimonos, charms, jewellery, soap, and more.
Aside from the great offerings up for sale, there will also be beauty, health and wellness services (fees apply), some workshops such as basic Japanese, calligraphy, yukata/kimono dressing, and fun games (fees apply).
The Japan Market will be held indoors on Sunday, November 4th at UBC Robson Square on Plaza Level, across from the ice rink (just down the stairs from the Art Gallery on Robson x Howe street). Admission to the market is by donation.
If you’re looking for some authentic ramen or sushi, unfortunately the venue will only allow packaged foods, but you can expect to buy authentic and delicious pre-packaged baked goods, chocolates, puddings, and traditional teas this time around.
Experience a taste of Japanese culture without having to get on a plane and pick up some beautiful and unique holiday gifts for friends, family, or yourself!
