8 epic evenings of outdoor movies under the stars for Fresh Air Cinema in Stanley Park

Returning for its eleventh year (!), the EVO Summer Cinema is heading to Stanley Park for another year of iconic movies, inventive picnic setups and cuddly summer nights.

For 2019, the Vancouver outdoor movies will be taking place over eight days, featuring a fun lineup of cinema classics. These movies are free to watch and open to everyone, so make sure to pencil them into your calendar.

Take a look at the movie lineup below for this year’s Fresh Air Cinema in Stanley Park!

Every Tuesday night from July 2nd until August 20th, head to Ceperley Meadow at Stanley Park’s Second Beach to watch the following movies on a giant, four-storey, inflatable movie screen!

Tuesday, July 2, 2019: Wayne’s World!

Synopsis: Party on! Two small town, metalhead cable talk-show hosts and lifelong friends, Wayne and Garth, spend their days and nights chasing babes, refusing to budge from their long hair high school style and glorying in Rock and Roll.

Showtime: After sunset, 9:20pm

Tuesday, July 9, 2019: Beetlejuice

Synopsis: A couple of nice, young homebody ghosts who call upon Beetlejuice to exorcise their house of a pack of pretentious, trend-setting human beings who threaten to make their house unlivable even for the dead.

Tuesday, July 16, 2019: Shrek

Synopsis: A fun story about green ogre named Shrek who tries to persuade a scheming Lord Farquaad to give him his swamp back.

Synopsis: A wonderfully romantic comedy about two people drawn together by destiny.

Synopsis: A poet falls for a beautiful courtesan whom a jealous duke covets.

Synopsis: After his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home.

Tuesday, August 13, 2019: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Synopsis: It’s Harry’s third year at Hogwarts; not only does he have a new “Defense Against the Dark Arts” teacher, but there is also trouble brewing. Convicted murderer Sirius Black has escaped the Wizards’ Prison and is coming after Harry.

Tuesday, August 20, 2019: Jurassic Park

Synopsis: During a preview tour, a theme park suffers a major power breakdown that allows its cloned dinosaur exhibits to run amok.
