2018 Vancouver Pillow Fight Scheduled for Saturday, April 7
How often can you say that you were in a pillow fight with hundreds of other people? On Saturday, April 7, 2018, head down to the Vancouver Art Gallery (Robson side) to take part in the annual Vancouver Pillow Fight! It’s a half hour of mayhem, feathers, and onesies. What more could you ask for?
The annual Vancouver pillow fight is part of the International Pillow Fight Day, where similar battles happen around the world. Cities including Barcelona, Chicago, Hong Kong, Sochi, Vienna will be joining those in Vancouver for massive pillow fights to celebrate the occasion.
Vancouver’s pillow fight starts promptly at 3:00 pm with the battle cry of: “PILLOW FIGHT!!!!” After that, it’s every person for themselves in the (lighthearted) battle. Join the fray by swinging left or right with your weapon of choice (foam or feathers!).
If you prefer to be an observer, the pillow fight also offers great photo opportunities. Just stand to the side of the frantic pillow fighters and snap a few action shots.
But really, the main fun is in participating. There are a few rules of course:
- Soft pillows only!
- Swing lightly, many people will be swinging at once.
- Do not swing at people without pillows or with cameras.
- Remove glasses beforehand!
- The event is free and appropriate for all ages.Wait until the signal to begin.
- Remember: This event is more fun with feathers!”
As usual, if you do participate, take a few minutes out of your day at the end of the event to help clean up. Everyone appreciates the extra hands!
