Cheap Date Night Idea: 2016 PNE Free Summer Concert Series

The PNE opened up its gates for the festival of the summer this weekend, and we’ve already been treated to a few days of fun. One of the highlights of the PNE has got to be the free summer concerts that are held every night at 8:30pm.

It’s a unique venue and a unique opportunity to watch some of your favourite bands perform for free with fair gate admission ($17 at the gate or $13 online)! Without having to pay the cost of a concert ticket, you’ll have even more extra cash on hand to buy a couple extra bags of delicious mini donuts!

This year’s lineup for the 2016 PNE Summer Concert Series lineup includes:

Wednesday, August 31 – A Tribe Called Red

Thursday, September 1 – Dru Hill with Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz & Tao, 20th Anniversary

Friday, September 2 – Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo: We Live For Love Tour

Saturday, September 3 – Tim Hicks

Sunday, September 4 – The Monkees – Good Times: The 50th Anniversary Tour

Monday, September 5 – Chris Isaak

The concerts will be held every night during The Fair at the PNE (until September 5) at the outdoor amphitheatre, which opens its doors each night at 6:30pm. If there’s an act you really want to see, it’s a good idea to buy a ticket for reserved seating or line up really early, as the venue has a capacity limit.
