This weekend’s forecast is calling for a chance of getting wet and having fun! At North Vancouver’s Slide the City, that is…

On Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22, from 10am to 6pm, a 1,000-foot-long slip and slide will be returning to Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver for the annual Slide the City event. This is the fourth time Vancouver has hosted the epic slide, and each year the event gets bigger and better than ever before!

Slide the City is part of North Vancouver’s “Fun City Festival”, which also features activities including food trucks, live music, and more.

The massive slide will take over three city blocks on Lonsdale Avenue from Victoria Park to 5th street, where a splash pool awaits riders at the end of the line.

You can ride the slide by purchasing tickets online (starting at $40 for three slides), the price of which includes a tube, mouth guard, and drawstring bag.

With hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators, North Vancouver will be the place to be this weekend. But be prepared, parking for the event is limited and biking, walking or transit is encouraged.
