Winter’s Dance on Vancouver’s Robson Street Returns This Holiday Season
On December 1st and 2nd, Winter’s Dance #onRobson returns to kick off the holiday season. Presented by the Robson Street Business Association (RSBA), ‘The Snow Queen’ will take centre stage at 1155 Robson Street at 6 p.m. each night.
In collaboration with Small Stage, a short, whimsical story about a Snow Queen and her kingdom has been produced that will be projected onto the John Robson Building (1155 Robson Street) creating a winter wonderland amidst the hustle and bustle of Robson Street. Performances will be repeated every 15 minutes throughout the evening until 9 p.m.
“The holidays are always such a magical time of year,” explains Teri Smith, Executive Director of the RSBA, “and we want to create something extra special for our visitors as they shop, dine and stroll Robson Street”. Julie-anne Saroyan of Small Stage adds, “I am excited to see another unique collaboration between Small Stage and Robson Street bring the arts to a public space for everyone to enjoy. It’s the perfect setting to create a bit of holiday magic.”
To add to the holiday experience, extra cheer will be served up with hot cups of cocoa and sweet treats for spectators in need of warming up and refueling.
Robson Street will remain open to vehicle traffic. For more information, contact the Robson Street Business Association.
