While most think of Valentine’s Day in February, quality time with your besties is equally as important as time with your significant other. Galentine’s Day is on February 13th, so get together with your girl squad in Vancouver!

Start or end your day with some endorphins

Take a class and encourage each other’s wellness goals. Whether you’re wanting to zen out with some yoga, get your adrenaline up with a spin class or feel the girl power rush of The Class at TurF Living, there are so many options for fitness and wellness classes in the city.

Have a spa day

Spend an afternoon with your besties, getting pampered with some West Coast inspired spa treatments at one of Vancouver’s world class spas. Spend the day getting pampered. You’ll leave feeling like a million dollars and full of heart!

Mani-pedi lunch break

If you’re crunched for time, shorten that spa day into a mani-pedi date. We can all agree that getting our nails done is both relaxing and a great way to catch up with a girlfriend. Most of Vancouver’s spas offer mani-pedi packages and you can head back to work or off to explore knowing your nails look amazing and you got some quality time with a gal pal.

Walk the Seawall

Put on your walking shoes! My absolute favourite place to walk in Vancouver is along the Seawall. Going for a walk with a friend or as a group Galentine’s outing is a fantastic way to get your steps in and get some fresh air on your lunch or conference break. You can also check out some of my other favourite strolls in the city here.

Keep warm with some hot cocoa

In the name of efficiency and keeping warm, may I suggest picking up some hot chocolate before you hit the Seawall? The Hot Chocolate Festival is on until February 14th, and—never mind diamonds—chocolate is a girl’s best friend. Check out our cocoa beverage picks for this year’s festival here.

Shopping spree

Retail therapy anyone? Whether you and your squad are into thrifting and vintage, scoring on-trend boutique finds on Robson, Yaletown or Gastown, or the luxury department store experience of Nordstrom or Holt Renfrew, Vancouver’s your shopping city!

Happy hour

Charlotte, Carrie, Miranda and Samantha—the ultimate girl squad—knew how to do happy right. Channel your West Coast version and step out on the town for dinner and drinks at one (or more?) of Vancouver’s eateries and bars.
