Gastown Sunday Set

The Water Street Pedestrian Zone will return for summer 2026, taking place on Sundays from noon to 8pm between July 5 and September 6, 2026, in collaboration with the Gastown Business Improvement Society (GBIS).

The City of Vancouver in partnership with the Gastown Business Improvement Society (GBIS) and local organizations are creating a welcoming, pedestrian-first experience every Sunday on Water Street. Each Sunday, the GBIS will be organizing the Gastown Sunday Set, a curated set of free, rotating events. To learn more, visit gastown.org/sundayset.

Each week features a fresh setlist of DJs, art drops, interactive installations, markets, games, and curated surprises. It’s street-level culture, served up weekly in the heart of Vancouver’s most iconic neighbourhood. This is your new Sunday ritual.

What to expect

• Free weekly, family-friendly, programming from 12pm–8pm
• Music, art, culture, dining, shopping, and community vibes
• Patio seating, pop-ups, and people-first streets
• All happening on Water Street from Richards Street to Columbia Street
