Overview

Ballet BC’s 40th anniversary season opens with Bodies & Voices, a double bill from Dutch choreographic duo Imre and Marne van Opstal, whose evocative work explores the rawness, beauty, and absurdity of the human experience.

This highly-anticipated program will include the North American premiere of 'I’m afraid to forget your smile' featuring the Vancouver Chamber Choir, and a brand new world premiere, 'Miriam,' created for Ballet BC.

Expect the unexpected – raw physicality, live vocals, and awe-inspiring talent. An unmissable performance to kick off a landmark season, celebrating four decades of incredible contemporary dance in Canada. Info and tickets from $19 at balletbc.com.
