About

The magnetic singer-songwriter from Montreal draws inspiration from both Motown-era music and neo-soul vibes. At 20, Leon landed a role in the music revue Generation Motown, which led her to work with Stevie Wonder, who is featured on her track, “Keep On Running,” and to singing with Lionel Ritchie. Leon’s debut album Push & Pull is a journey through jazz, funk and pop rhythms. The single “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” a tribute to Sade, shows a singer with a brilliant sense of melody and effortless phrasing. Leon performs with her quartet.

This show is part of BlueShore at CapU's North Shore Jazz, presented in partnership with Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
