About
Vancouver Mysteries presents a new immersive experience that combines cinema, live theatre and an escape room as a mystery unfolds around you.
Set in another time and place at the VIFF Centre in downtown Vancouver.
This experience is set in the 1940s and ticket holders are guests at a movie premiere. (Costumes encouraged!)
A Movie Premiere
Murder at the Movies is set at the red carpet premiere of Cooking Up Trouble, the highly anticipated sequel to the box office smash hit Recipe for Death. Both films star the glamorous screen couple Nick Alexander and Joan Eastwick. They portray Basil and Lavender, husband and wife amateur sleuths with extra helpings of both money and sophistication mixed with a dash of mystery and a taste for adventure. Gossip columnists and fans delight in the tasty rumours that the on-screen couple also shares a romance off screen.
A Murder Mystery
It can be hard to detect what is real and what is not when it comes to the movie business. Can the audience solve the mystery as the story unravels and the separation between the screen and life blurs? Each ticket includes a seat for the performance (general admission). This is a Vancouver Mysteries production so you can also count on the fact that there will be clues to collect, puzzles to solve, and even opportunities for some ticket holders to become part of the plot.
A Murder in Three Acts
There are three acts in this murder mystery and more than one murder. This is a Vancouver Mysteries production so you can also count on the fact that there will be clues to collect, puzzles to solve, and even opportunities for some ticket holders to become part of the plot! Can you solve the mystery? Get your tickets for this exclusive event and find out.
