Dinner, Drag, Drinks… and a Detective? Experience a Wedding-Themed Musical Murder Mystery

Interact with the suspects, solve a puzzle, collect clues and help our detective solve the murder!

You're invited to the Wedding party with the bride and groom and watch for clues. This unique local experience is only available in Vancouver – a musical murder mystery show with clues to collect and puzzles to solve. Can you solve the murder?

Location: a mysterious theatre inside the historic Woodwards building, just steps away from the steam clock in Gastown.

The Mystery Experience: Get your tickets for this show, part of the the wildly successful Murder is a Drag series by Vancouver Mysteries. The murder mystery shows in the Murder is a Drag series are original Vancouver Mysteries productions created here in downtown Vancouver and performed by locals. You don’t need to see the shows in any particular order – each chapter in the series is a separate murder mystery with a new story and new suspects. A few guests will also be included in the wedding party or provided with props and lines (optional- you can also choose to just watch the show).

Murder is a Drag Chapter 3: Rhinestones are Forever returns May 15 ! Rhinestones are Forever, Vancouver Mysteries’ hit Murder is a Drag show is a wedding whodunit! The mystery unfolds during a wedding – can you help the detective solve the mystery? The suspects and the detective are drag performers (watch for clues to be revealed during their songs!).

Every show includes:

• opportunities to win prizes
• at least three suspects and a detective
• real hands-on puzzles distributed during the first intermission.
• musical drag performances incorporated into the plot that reveal clues about the murder!
• a scripted three act murder mystery show plus interaction/improvisation between the audience and the performers
• a chance to guess the murderer (every guest can cast their own vote)
• an opportunity to meet the cast after the show (photo opportunities)
• Vancouver Mysteries Experience Hosts are there to greet you at the door, introduce the show and provide support throughout (need a hint? have a question?)
• This event is 19+.

ABOUT THE VENUE, KW STUDIOS

• No food available for order on site. This new venue is not a restaurant and there is no kitchen! All food during our Dine Out experiences are pre-ordered.
• KW studios is run by nonprofit Kokoro Dance Theatre Society. A portion of your ticket has paid for our rental of this space, which supports their mandate to support low-income, non-profit, indigenous and DTES artists.
• Participation is optional - some guests will be offered roles in the show but you can also opt to just sit back and enjoy the drama and hilarity as the mystery unfolds. Costumes encouraged!
