Overview

Hotel Europe is a six-story heritage building, built between 1908 and 1909. The building sits on a triangular lot and is designed in the flatiron style. It is now affordable housing. Commissioned by hotelier Angelo Calori, it is the first reinforced concrete structure to be built in Canada and the first fireproof hotel in Western Canada. It has been used as a location for films including The Changeling, Legends of the Fall and A NeverEnding Story.
