First Ever Vancouver Cheese & Meat Festival Coming this September
Calling all cheese lovers! A new (and very delicious) food festival is coming to Vancouver this year to celebrate all things cheese and charcuterie.
The first ever Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Terminal City Club (837 West Hastings Street). The Terminal City Club is one of Vancouver’s oldest and most respected Private Members Club, so the festival will also give you the chance to peak inside the exclusive world of a private Vancouver club. Plus, there will be cheese there.

The festival will give you a chance to sample local and international cheese and meat from over 40 vendors, paired with a large selection of delicious wines, beers, and ciders.
To ensure that things don’t get too rowdy, there will be three tasting times available at 11am – 1:30pm, 3pm – 5:30pm, and 7 – 9:30pm to ensure a comfortable tasting experience.
In an interview with the Georgia Straight Newspaper, David Bain (the festival’s producer) has said that “the biggest highlight of this festival is that a visitor can walk in with an empty charcuterie board and empty wine glass, and proceed to taste all the different items at the event”.
You don’t have to be a cheese and charcuterie expert to join this party, everyone is invited to taste the different kinds of meat and cheese and discover more about each flavour at the different booths around the festival.
Tickets to the Vancouver Cheese & Meat Festival will cost around $55 and include access to all food, tea, and coffee samples. Wine, beer, and cider will be based on a token system given with the purchase of your pass. Or, you could go all out and purchase the $200 all access super pass to really indulge.

Of course, you’ll need something to wash down your snacks with – so cheese and wine experts will be walking around the festival to help you make the best selections. They’ll be easy to spot – just look for the individuals with the coloured aprons.
Tickets to the afternoon tasting have already sold out, but the final set of tickets to the evening tasting (7pm – 9:30pm) will be coming on sale again soon.
You can subscribe to the Cheese and Meat Festival newsletter (located at the top of the page) to ensure you don’t miss out on the final set of tickets.
