NewLeaf Travel Announces Cheap Flights Across Canada
A new discount airline in Canada has just announced that they will be offering cheap flights across Canada starting mid-February. NewLeaf Travel will start flying beginning on February 12, 2016 with flights running out of Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Flights will cost between $89 and $149, which makes it easy to have a home base at Vancouver and do a few quick trips across Canada for less than $500!

NewLeaf Travel flights will depart in BC from Abbotsford, which is about a one hour drive from Downtown Vancouver. Direct flights from Abbotsford will go to Regina, Winnipeg, and Saskatoon. Flying to Saskatoon and Regina will only cost $89. Flying to Winnipeg will cost $119.
Other locations in Canada that will be serviced by NewLeaf include: Kelowna, Hamilton, and Halifax. The full winter schedule is available for download here (PDF).
The costs are so low because they are completely unbundled – there will be no free snacks or drinks. Your fare gets you the two essentials: a seat and a seatbelt. The rest is up to you. Additional costs will come from checking a bag ($25) or carrying-on a bag ($25) and extra bags will cost $75.
NewLeaf Travel also has lofty goals. The first few locations that the airline is flying to is just the start. They will be launching new routes as they grow, including flights to some sunny destinations.
