Ready for an adrenaline rush?

When it comes to adrenaline, Vancouver delivers. There are plenty of things to do in Vancouver for thrill-seekers, from ziplining through lush rainforests to zooming on Canada’s fastest electric launch roller coaster.

For travellers seeking adrenaline, Vancouver activities don't get much more exhilarating than this. Mountain Ziplines on Vancouver’s North Shore offers two-hour, guided tours with five ziplining adventures year-round across the treetops of Grouse Mountain and Dam Mountain. Take in sweeping city and mountain views while soaring through the air. The mountain ride glides at heart-pumping speeds of up to 70 kilometres an hour.

Heli-Skiing Trips

Vancouver can hold its own when it comes to great ski terrain, but winter sports lovers know the best runs are on fresh, untouched snow. The best way to get there, of course, is by helicopter. Claim your own stretch of pristine powder with a day-long session of heli-skiing or boarding offered by several local companies. A helicopter will transport you to the top of Whistler’s snow-covered mountains, where you can float along the untouched powdery slopes without the hassle of ski-lift lines or running into other skiers. It's a Vancouver adrenaline rush like no other.

Mountain Biking Trails

Few activities scratch that adrenaline itch quite like sending it down a mountain on two wheels. Vancouver’s North Shore is home to world-renowned mountain biking with trails maintained by a passionate community of mountain bikers.

North Vancouver is known for its steep slopes that frame the city and offer challenging, invigorating terrain. But there’s no need to be a freeride legend on the North Shore trails, as you’ll find everything from relaxed rides perfect for newbies to steep, rugged terrain for experienced riders seeking a challenge.

Roller Coasters and Rides

If some of these adventures sound a little extreme, there’s always a good old-fashioned roller coaster to get your blood flowing. Head to Playland at the PNE, where you can ride nearly 40 heart-stopping thrills and attractions. Don’t miss one of the park’s latest additions, ThunderVolt, Canada’s fastest electric launch coaster with a breathtaking 18-metre drop.

Those looking for a thrilling roller coaster ride through the mountains can check out the Eagle Coaster on Cypress Mountain Resort. Riders can control their own speed as the ride offers a handbrake to control the intensity of the speed.
