Klahoose Wilderness Resort
Indigenous-Owned Wilderness Retreat Near Vancouver
Just a short journey from Vancouver, Klahoose Wilderness Resort offers an authentic Indigenous experience in the heart of Desolation Sound. Owned and operated by the Klahoose First Nation, this intimate off grid retreat invites guests to travel with purpose and connect with the land through Indigenous stewardship, culture and story.
Accessible by air and boat, guests fly just 35 minutes from Vancouver to Powell River, then journey by boat into Klahoose Territory. With only seven oceanfront rooms and cabins, the experience is personal, immersive and rooted in place.
In season, guided grizzly bear viewing and whale watching bring guests close to coastal wildlife. Cultural experiences with Klahoose hosts, ocean kayaking, chef prepared coastal cuisine and a wood fired sauna complete the stay.
More than a remote escape, Klahoose Wilderness Resort offers meaningful travel that supports Indigenous community and celebrates the wild beauty of coastal British Columbia.
