VANCOUVER, BC — April 1, 2026 — Destination Vancouver today announced the commissioning of a new public art installation honouring Vancouver-born actor, writer, and producer Seth Rogen.

The announcement follows a remarkable year for Rogen, whose Apple TV+ series The Studio received widespread critical acclaim, earning Emmy and Golden Globe honours while further cementing his place among the most influential creative voices working in film and television today.

While Rogen’s career has taken him all around the world, he has remained a proud ambassador for Vancouver. Over the years, he has celebrated the city through collaborations with local organizations and cultural institutions — from appearing in campaigns with TransLink, to inspiring the naming of Ceph Rogen, a giant Pacific octopus at the Vancouver Aquarium, and showcasing Vancouver’s culinary scene during an episode of Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner alongside chef David Chang. His production company, Point Grey Pictures, is also named after Vancouver’s stəywəte:n̓ Point Grey Secondary School, where Rogen met longtime creative partner Evan Goldberg.

“Seth has always remained deeply connected to Vancouver, and he’s never missed an opportunity to share that pride with the world,” said Royce Chwin, President & CEO of Destination Vancouver. “At the heart of his success is a creative journey that began right here in Vancouver, and our city couldn’t ask for a better ambassador.”

The sculpture was commissioned from Canadian contemporary artist Malcom Harrow, whose work focuses on capturing personality and cultural presence through figurative bronze sculpture. Harrow is known for an expressive approach to public monuments, often emphasizing character, warmth, and spirit in his interpretations of cultural figures.

A graduate of the Canadian Academy of Visual & Digital Arts, Harrow has completed installations across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. His work frequently explores the relationship between civic identity, storytelling, and popular culture.

“When creating a sculpture like this, the goal isn’t just likeness — it’s personality,” said Harrow. “Seth has such a recognizable energy, and I wanted to capture the warmth and humour people know him for.”

Destination Vancouver expects the statue to be completed and installed in early June, adding a new cultural landmark for residents and visitors alike as the city prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
