FIFA World Cup 2026 - Australia vs UEFA Playoff C Winner

Vancouver’s FIFA World Cup 2026™ host city duties kick off at BC Place with the meeting of Australia and the UEFA Playoff C Winner at 9pm on Saturday, June 13.

Our city will provide a welcoming home base for thousands of Australian fans, who have long been drawn to Vancouver for our mix of nature, culture and cuisine. And, with a six-day gap until Australia takes on the United States in Seattle, there’s plenty of time to explore Vancouver, Whistler and beyond.

This will be the Socceroo’s seventh appearance at the FIFA World Cup™, with their most recent outing in 2022 seeing them narrowly eliminated by a score of 2-1 in the round of 16 by eventual tournament champions Argentina.

UEFA Playoff Path C will be decided in late March, with one of Türkiye, Slovakia, Romania or Kosovo taking the final slot in what’s sure to be a competitive Group D.
