Overview

Singer-songwriter Dominique Fils-Aimé is a rising star in the Canadian music scene. Born and raised in Montreal to Haitian parents, Fils-Aimé’s music is infused with the history of Black music in North America. Led by her “tour de force vocals” (Toronto Star), she weaves jazz, gospel, soul, and R&B into a sound that is uniquely her own. Her 2021 album Three Little Words was shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize while her most recent album, Our Roots Run Deep (2023), won the Juno for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.

Having toured with Allison Russell and opened for acts like Diana Krall and Melody Gardot, Fils-Aimé is stepping into her own with her debut performance at the Chan Centre. Experience her ascendant journey, as Dominique Fils-Aimé becomes one of Canada’s most poignant, soul-stirring artists.
