Overview
BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) is a post secondary education institution which offers several areas of study through their School of Business. Their full-time, two-year tourism marketing management diploma produces graduates who are successful hoteliers, tour operators, destination marketers and tourism entrepreneurs.
Students are available for a 4-day-per week practicum (unpaid) work experience starting in March of each year, and student teams offer consulting for tourism businesses starting in January. The diploma ladders into a BBA.
Part-time programs include an Associate Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality as well as courses from the diploma program for industry professionals seeking an upgrade.
