Neon lights on Granville Street in the 50’s
In the 1950's the Granville Street neighbourhood had one of the world's highest concentration of neon signs, remnants of which remain today. By the 1970's Pacific Center Mall officially opened, offering downtown the chanceg to compete with suburban shopping centers. The street was also a gathering place for jubilant crowds during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Nirvana, U2, Lady Gaga, and many more have graced the stages of Granville Street’s entertainment district.

During the day, Granville Street hums with activity as shoppers, visitors, and locals pass through the bustling downtown core. But when night falls, it comes alive with a second wind, especially on weekends. More than a destination, Granville Street is an experience you can feel.
