With International Women’s Day around the corner on March 8th, it’s the perfect time to celebrate female leaders in the tourism industry. Vancouver has no shortage of women who ignite inspiration by what they do.

Minami Restaurant’s celebrated lead pastry chef, Nikki Tam, continues to create delectable dessert options for a perfect way to end a meal. Our favourite, green tea opera cake!

For modern Pacific Northwest cuisine, chef Andrea Carlson of Burdock & Cocontinues to set the highest standards in farm to table dining in Vancouver. Inspired by BC’s tangle of islands and coastlines, always sourcing from local growers and farmers, Carlson focuses on cooking that lets the raw materials really shine.

Michelle Ng founded Vancouver Foodie Tours in 2010 and has been providing culinary tours in various Vancouver neighbourhoods ever since. With a passion for food, people and storytelling, Ng creates memorable tours that speak to Vancouver’s multiculturalism.

The Vancouver Chinatown Foundation’s co-founder and Board Chair, Carol Lee, is dedicated to the cultural, economic and physical revitalization of Vancouver’s historic Chinatown. Since 2011 Lee has continued to champion the creation of opportunities that have a lasting positive impact on the community.
