Top meetings publication in Mexico recognizes Vancouver in the 2019 “Merit of Quality in Conventions” Awards.
Vancouver is the Best International Destination for meetings, according to ConvencioneS Latin America, Mexico’s leading meetings industry publication. This award is the result of a national survey conducted annually by the magazine, where meeting planners and tourism service providers vote in a variety of categories related to the planning and execution of meetings, incentive travel and corporate events.
On October 25, 2019, Mexico’s top meeting planners and tourism industry professionals, including representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, gathered at the Fiesta Americana Reforma Hotel in Mexico City to celebrate the winners of the 23rd annual “Merit of Quality in Conventions” awards. Vancouver tied for first place with the Dominican Republic in the category of Best International Destination. Tourism Vancouver’s Margarita Valle, Director, Business Development, Meetings & Conventions Mexico, was in attendance to receive the prestigious award.
