Air Canada curates an annual list of Best New Restaurants in the country and the top 10 will be revealed in November. Nominated are Vancouver’s very own Elephant, Delara, and Bar Susu as part of the coveted 10.
Elephant offers a unique omakase experience with a five-course menu that changes daily to reflect the seasonality of Vancouver’s local farms. The cozy 18-seater restaurant allows diners a vibrant experience where they can be surprised with exciting and unexpected wine and sake pairings.
Delara, meaning she who brings beauty to hearts, is an homage to Chef Bardia Ilbeiggi’s roots in Iran. Offering a seasonal menu that reflects the key elements of Persian cuisine, guests can expect tart flavors of pomegranate, fresh herbs, nuts and seeds, and aromas of saffron and sumac. The warmth of Iranian hospitality and food can be paired with unique cocktails and a curated wine list.
Sister restaurant to Published on Main, #1 in Canada’s Best Restaurants, Bar Susu is serving quality plates and vino. What was then supposed to be a pop-up, the restaurant will be creating a permanent mark on the city providing phenomenal bites and natural wine.
