34th TD International Jazz Festival

June 21, 2019 – July 1, 2019
Where: Various locations! 

Coastal Jazz and Blues Society is a community-based, non-profit, charitable arts organization located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since 1986 Coastal Jazz and Blues Society has contributed vigorously to the local, national and international jazz scene.
Their vision encompasses a wide spectrum of jazz, blues, world, creative, and improvised music, including evolving forms of jazz and the technologies and media that influence jazz as an art form

Bard on the Beach 2019

June 5, 2019 – September 21, 2019
Location: Vanier Park

Bard on the Beach’s 30th Anniversary Season runs from June 5 to September 21, 2019, with four productions on two stages.
The BMO Mainstage hosts a revival of the huge Bard crowd-pleaser, 2007’s Wild West-set The Taming of the Shrew, which will play in repertory with the playful romantic comedy, Shakespeare in Love. The Howard Family Stage offers two innovative new productions: Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well, set in India and sparked with South-Asian music and dance, and Coriolanus, a no-holds-barred political tragedy filled with resonance for our time. Says Bard Artistic Director Christopher Gaze: “Our 30th Season is designed to be a delight for patrons, old and new. We’ve programmed entertaining options for all, from the most loyal Shakespeare fans to those who’ve never experienced a play at Bard before.”

Breakout Festival 2019

June 15, 2019 – June 16, 2019
Location: PNE Forum

Timbre Concerts and CRESCENDO1 are proud to be bringing back Canada’s only all hip-hop music festival to Vancouver. After two successful inaugural events in 2018 (BREAKOUT Festival and WINTER Breakout) BREAKOUT Festival returns for its second outdoor festival and will feature some of the hottest artists in hip-hop alongside some of Vancouver’s most promising rising acts.

2019 FVDED in the Park

July 5, 2019 – July 6, 2019
Location: Holland Park, Surrey BC

The annual music festival takes place July 5 and 6 at Surrey's Holland Park, and performers include Khalid, Zedd, Tory Lanez, French Montana, Louis the Child, RL Grime, 6lack, Lil Yachty, A Boogie Witda Hoodie, Kayzo, Lauv, Green Velvet, Lil Mosey, Ekali, Joyryde, Shoreline Mafia, Elohim, Saint Jhn, Yung Gravy, Cedric Gervais, Elephante, Gashi, Felix Cartal, SayMyName, and others.

42nd Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival

Theatre Under the Stars

July 5, 2019 – August 17, 2019
Location: Malkin Bowl, Stanley Park

Audiences will bathe in the warmth of a Greek island and witness a fight for what’s right this summer when Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) presents Mamma Mia! and Disney’s Newsies, running alternate evenings July 5–August 17, 2019, at Stanley Park’s glorious Malkin Bowl.

Honda Celebration of Light 2019

July 27, 31, and August 3, 2019
Location: English Bay

The Honda Celebration of Light is a week-long festival based in Vancouver, British Columbia, featuring the world's largest offshore fireworks competition. For its 29th year, it will feature the thrilling line-up of pyrotechnic performers featuring competing teams from India, Canada, and Croatia. Performing for the first time in Vancouver, India, and Croatia are set to take to the skies above English Bay.

Vancouver Pride Parade & Festival

August 5, 2019
Location: West End

In this joyous celebration of diversity, anybody with a positive and loving spirit will feel right at home. Parties, dances, cruises, a parade, and a spectacular final event makes this an unforgettable celebration every summer. The parade is also a reminder of how far we’ve come and how far we still need to go to ensure everyone, not just in Vancouver, but around the world, is able to love safely and fully.
