A public gallery of contemporary Indigenous Art of the Northwest Coast named after the acclaimed Haida artist Bill Reid (1920 - 1998). Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and steps from the downtown hotels and the Canada Line Skytrain stations. The Gallery is home to the Simon Fraser University Bill Reid Collection and seasonal exhibitions of contemporary Northwest Coast Indigenous Art.

- Description The Bill Reid Gallery is an ideal choice for receptions, media and cultural events and private dinners. Choose your caterer, beverages and other suppliers. Enhance the mood with music, dance performances or a guided tour for a dramatic cultural experience. The Bill Reid Gallery is nestled in the heart of downtown, just a short walk from all major hotels, the Vancouver Convention Centre and public transit.

- Space Notes With two floors of event space, the Gallery provides options for corporate event planners to utilize the main floor alone or include the mezzanine, all for the same rental price. Cocktail events with minimal furniture other than high-top tables and 1 or 2 bar set ups can easily accommodate up to 200 people. Theatre style seating for presentations or AGM’s can be set up on the main floor for 80-90 people, depending on AV requirements. Gala dinners on the main floor can accommodate up to 90 people for plated menus and 80 people for buffet. * Please note that due to the changing nature of our exhibitions there may be considerations that restrict how the space can be used; stand-up cocktail receptions can always be accommodated. The Hummingbird Gathering Space located on the mezzanine level offers 600 square feet of open space for meetings, workshops, or presentations. This semi-private space is closed off to the public by curtains and stanchions when in use. It can accommodate 10-25 people depending on configuration and AV requirements. Bathed in natural light from a floor to ceiling window, the room suits various configurations and includes: - A 75” TV monitor on the north wall - A sink area on the south wall for easy clean up or as an area for a coffee station - 30 black plastic stacking chairs - 6 x 6ft folding grey plastic tables (linens not included)
