The National Geographic Live Speaker Series returns to Vancouver Civic Theatres with an exciting 2024/25 line-up, taking place for the first time at the intimate Vancouver Playhouse.

Join us for Life on Thin Ice on October 9th with award-winning National Geographic photographer Kiliii Yüyan, who captures the human experience in some of the world’s harshest environments. Live on stage, there will be stunning images and awe-inspiring moments abound as he takes you on a journey to the icy lands and waters of the polar north – a place that half a million Indigenous people call home alongside neighbours that include polar bears, musk ox, whales, and caribou.
