About

Featuring art, music, drinks and unexpected surprises throughout the Gallery, Art Party is an unforgettable evening like no other.

Be among the first to experience Firelei Báez, one of the must-see exhibitions of 2024, in its West Coast premiere. Coming to Vancouver from the ICA/Boston, this spectacular exhibition is the first mid-career survey of the richly layered work of Firelei Báez, one of the most exciting painters of her generation.

This is also the last chance to see Black and White and Everything In Between: A Monochrome Journey, an ode to the artistic possibilities of a single colour, celebrated through varying styles, genres, themes and mediums, including scent and sound-based expressions. The dress code is inspired by this exhibition... dress to impress in your best monochromatic look!

Alongside the art, experience cutting-edge contemporary performances, DJ sets, portrait collaging workshops and more, all inspired by Firelei Báez’s richly coloured paintings and visceral sculptural installations. Featured performances include a DJ set by Nina Mendoza; dance battle curated by OURO Collective; Postcards from Here and for Now, an interactive art installation designed by artist Sahil Mroke and a specially curated Diwali dance party in the Gallery’s rooftop pavilion organized by 5X Festival.

Member and Standard tickets include one complimentary drink and access to all exhibitions and performances. Don’t miss Vancouver’s hottest late-night art and live performance party!
