Beaded Nostalgia explores the use of contemporary beadwork as a connection to the past, to our homes and homelands, and to our memories. This exhibition features four artists: Audie Murray (Michif), Hazel Wilson (Haida), Nico Williams (Anishinaabe), and Serena Steel (Secwepemc), who are using their innovative beadwork to express feelings of nostalgia and connections to their own experiences. The show also features beaded earrings from 50 contemporary artists from across Turtle Island. Together, it is a celebration of how beadwork is being reshaped and reimagined. This exhibition is curated by Aliya Boubard (Anishinaabekwe).
